About Laura

Hi and thanks for visiting. I’m not sure what lead you in this direction, but I’m glad you arrived. Here’s a bit about me so you can see if you’re in the right space.

I was born and raised in New York. For me, this is important as diversity in people is what I thrive on. My life experiences as well as my formal education has been shaped by teachers of different cultural backgrounds. As a child, I knew I wanted to serve the people. But how? Traditional religions and politics didn’t suit me. I didn’t and don’t have a belief that any one tradition or sect has all the answers. My spirituality is strong, and I spent years trying to find the organization that I could call home. But there were always too many rules and they all pointed to serving a theology instead of the individual. I couldn’t be ‘boxed in’. And I don’t want anyone else to feel boxed in either. I made it my mission to work for or serve everyone.

It was in my early 30’s that I found the first step to solidifying my path. In 2000, I became an Ordained Interfaith Minister through All Faiths Seminary and have been serving the community at large ever since.

Over the last 22 years, I have earned the title Life Coach, Spiritual Counselor as well as a Master Reiki Practitioner. And now, considered an Elder, I’ve organically stepped up to serve the community in a larger way. Both internationally and nationally, online and in-person, I am a Personal Advisor, Mentor for others that want to be Ordained Interfaith Ministers, and Teacher of a style of Life Coaching that has helped so many find their own way in life.

It’s been said that necessity is the Mother of invention. Because I saw no sacred safe space for all to gather, in 2011 I founded The New Light Sanctuary, LLC; a place where everyone regardless of gender, orientation, identification, or religion is welcome. It is under the umbrella of The New Light Sanctuary, that I ordain and certify others who have a calling to serve either as Life Coaches or Interfaith Ministers.

Laura Tria is a Visionary who believes knowing our spiritual, as well as our unique and authentic selves, will ground us and help us build a brighter, healthier, happier future. As each individual finds peace within themselves, peace is promoted on Earth.
