Testimonials

Have you ever put together a website?

For me, to ask the people that I love so deeply to allow me to put their words on display for you to see has been a transformative process. All I did was put out an email to ask who would like to pass me on a testimonial to be displayed and low and behold my email box was flooded with good wishes and pictures galore. Although this page is a testimonial page for all of you to see, it is a chance for me to thank them for allowing it all to come together. To all of the people who have allowed me to share their innermost thoughts, I am eternally grateful. Below are an assortment of testimonials from people I have had the honor to serve in a variety of ways from weddings, to sacred teachings.

Dearest Laura,

It has taken me some time to write this testimonial simply because there aren’t enough words to express the gratitude I have for enrolling in the the New Light Sanctuary Class of 2017. The gifts I received are priceless and its my responsibility, as one who serves others, to spread the word that anyone can live their best life free from judgement, free from playing it small, free from pleasing others, free from the stories we create about ourselves that do not serve us well!
Laura, you saw in me what I didn’t see in myself and your style of teaching filled with patience, love, nurturing, caring and gentle pushing when needed allowed me to reach my true potential.

My life has turned 360 degrees and is filled with love, peace, joy, courage and relationships that serve me well, relationships where I can be and live my authentic life.

Doors continue to open leading me to places I never dreamed possible. As a result of this class and the work involved, I can honestly say I love my life more than ever before!

I am honored to be an ordained minister of The New Light Sanctuary, grateful that our paths on this journey called life crossed and I’m honored and proud to be Corinne Cortes mother to Jonathan, Matthew and Mia! Thank You for all the “gifts”! With much love, respect and reverence,

~ Reverend Corinne Lynn Cortes

My dearest friend and inspirational Leader Rev. Laura Tria hosted the most powerful Samhain Celebration this past Sunday. Laura has committed her life to the uplifting of the Divine Feminine on this planet, by assisting the women to achieve their true potential. She is a pioneer in gathering females in circle for over 20 years! Obviously she is an inspiration to me, among many of you here. And If you don’t know Laura yet, you are missing out! Laura is bigger than life, and has the ability to inspire others to be the same! She has the natural ability to command a circle of Woman with grace, wisdom, and passion. Her magical words are spells-full-of love and bound to have an effect on you. If you attend one of Laura’s events, you will remember the palpable energy. Perhaps you, like myself, are still experiencing the cathartic changes propelled by the last gathering.

Last Sunday, we feasted and paid respect to the loved ones by bringing them back into the pictures, literally. Each woman brought mementos of late ones or our ancestors, and by “showing and telling” about them, they were brought alive in the circle. Emotions were powerful and varied, from grief to longing, to simply remembering. They say “When Someone you know become a Memory, The Memory becomes a Treasure”. And it was an honor to have shared in so many stories with the womyn and so many treasures.

The second part of our gathering was a “LET Go” Ritual; I like to call it TRANSMUTATION, where all that WAS holding us back IS released by the power of the intention, then buried away. Is now up to nature to play its part, as we move on and transmute energies.

There is no more URGENT and IMPORTANT time than NOW to gather with your sisters. We need each other, to be lifted and to lift ourselves to a lighter vibration. Thank you rev. Laura Tria for being who you are! You are a gift to ALL! May your Light shine on as many women as possible! Or even better! Love you!

In 2009 I trained with Reverend Laura Tria, taking her New Light Sanctuary Interfaith Minister training. A beautiful and transformational journey. That year I was immersed in intensives – I was fully invested in my training with Reverend Laura and fully invested in another personal transformation type intensive, both at the same time. I had two separate immersions into myself going. I meant business. I was ready to change myself, change my life, and I needed help. I was stuck in self-induced suffering of various kinds. I wanted so strongly to be free of it and my habits of thinking that created them. Reverend Laura’s training was immensely helpful for me – I found such strength, such clarity, I found self-love, self-care, and I received genuine support in my succeeding in finding this new unfolding freedom and peace, …great support not only from Reverend Laura but my classmates as well. Reverend Laura’s training was one of the most special treats I’ve ever given myself – I highly recommend it for anyone serious about wanting to connect to their spirituality while undergoing significant personal development, healing of self-defeating ways, and other positive changes. Her training nurtures the whole being.

I felt a calm I have not felt in a long time. I felt at ease with myself. My experience with Reiki training was AMAZING because I felt the POWER generating from the Women I was surrounded by! I LOOK FORWARD TO COMPLETING TWO AND THREE!

Reiki One lesson with Reiki Master Laura Tria at New Light Sanctuary was more than I expected. I not only learned about Reiki and its linage and history but the hands-on experience and exchange of energy gave me the real essence of what Reiki is. I left the course not only certified but confident. The attunement was zen and unforgettable. Thank you Laura for the experience. I highly recommend this course.

Dear Laura,

This has been a Soulful year and a half and I am so looking forward to spreading the wings you have expanded. Never in a million years did I imagine having the guts to do half the things I am doing today. Thank you for seeing me. Thank you for hearing me. Thank you mostly for loving me and guiding me through my transition. You have helped me get in touch with my true self and helped me forgive ‘her’ as well. You have shown me that miracles are not only a gift but that they are for me as much as anyone else. You have encouraged me to be myself and that failing is every part of my success as winning. It is because of you I stand on my own two feet, it is because of you, I am no longer afraid to look bad in public or in private. It is because of you I can see my future clearly and it is filled with blessings and passion. Thank you for being a stand for the life I am capable and worthy of living. Because of you, “I Live My Truth”. Sat Nam and With so much love and gratitude,

In Life Coaching with Rev. Laura, I learned how to take responsibility for my life and my actions. The great thing about this type of coaching is, it’s more about bringing my truth out and my beliefs, wants and desires. I can still hear her saying, “I have nothing to teach”… yet, she has truly taught me so much. I gained my power back and learned tools to live life fully. I move through things now instead of getting stuck in them. It changed my life. Thank you Rev. Laura for being a radiant light in my life! I love you!

I have had the honor of having Laura in my life for over a year. Shortly after my brother passed away I realized that I needed to talk to someone to make sense of my life as I now knew it.

I tried going to a counselor then a doctor but nothing was working. Finally I was introduced to Laura and we connected right away. Her style is unlike any other I’ve come accross- unconventional because life is not conventional! Since then I have continued to see Laura on a regular basis. The best thing I have learned is how to deal with life in a clear manner. As life continues to move forward so do our conversations. She continues to be a great support through my daily trials and tribulations of everyday life.

Laura is one of the most nonjudgmental and caring individuals I have ever met. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t “use” something that I have learned from Laura and for that I will be forever grateful!!

Hello Laura,

I was sharing a post on Facebook today. As I was writing a comment on this post, I realized this comment was getting extremely long and full of emotions. The more I wrote, the more I thought of you. So I stopped writing immediately, deleted 90% of it, and kept it short, simple, and concise. These words I had filling me up were meant for you directly. I am not the man I was yesterday, and I will never again be the man I was 3 years ago when I walked into your office. I was broken. In an extremely deep dark place, with nothing to look forward to. I had truly come to the end of the line and thought I was out of options. Thank goodness it is almost impossible to hide those kinds of feelings.

A great friend of mine, knowing my struggles, took it upon herself to ask around about people who could help me. Somehow she ended up with a phone number on a small piece of yellow paper that looked like it was just torn out of a notepad. It said Laura Tria on it. I was obviously skeptical, I’ve already met with psychologists and been on and off meds for about a year. However, on that bright, beautiful, sunny, summer day (I remember it like it was yesterday) I walked into my garage. I did not want to deal with this life anymore, is what I kept telling myself. I looked up at a rope, and then down at the paper in my hand. Something moved inside me. It told me “One More Call” My life was never the same since.

From you, I received a real education, an education on life. You helped me let go of everything I thought I knew. You tore down my old beliefs which I held onto so tightly, even though they never gave me an ounce of happiness or joy. You ripped apart my past because I didn’t need to carry it around anymore. And then you rebuilt me from the bottom up, piece by piece, to become the man I am today. A successful business owner, a loving husband, and a man worthy of every great possibility this life has to offer. I can’t contain the love and gratitude I have for you. My heart pours out love for you. Thank You for giving my life back to me.

~ Love always, Joseph

They say when the student is ready, the teacher shows up. When we first started our sessions I knew there was a place that wanted to be in my life, but felt as though I only had a few of the pieces in what that looked like to my mind’s eye. Over the time we have spent together, you helped clear up so many uncertainties and helped me begin to create a life I desire. You have taught me that it is ok to be exactly who I am and that once I’ve accepted that person, I would then have the ability to improve from there. You showed me that life is beautiful…from all angles. I am so grateful to know you and to have you in my life. You are a beautiful person, making a difference in people’s lives, your talents go way beyond my expectations of a life coach and I want to thank you for being there for me. With much love and gratitude.

I was attending a wedding years ago in which Laura was the Reverend. It was at that moment that I noticed the calm and gentle way she captured her audience. She married me a year later. I hired her as my ‘Life Coach’ about a year ago. Laura has given me the tools to see things differently, react differently and move forward in a new light. She is like a friend who guides you in the right direction without any judgment. She doesn’t tell you what she thinks you should do….in fact she doesn’t even give advice (unless you ask!) What she does is introduce you to a way of living, a new understanding of those around you – she challenges all you think you know and introduces you to what you don’t know you don’t know… She has become my friend, my gateway to new and greater things.

I just wanted to say thank you for all that you do. I’m blessed to have you in my life, blessed to have someone who God has gifted as my friend. Someone who shows me how to bring clarity to my life, someone who allows me to talk and allows me to draw my own conclusions.. I sat down several times with my fingers hovering over the key board, trying to think of what to say about you and all that you do. I tried to summarize you, but my fingers froze in place. How can one put into words what you give to others? You show others how to bring out the best in themselves. Being in your presence brings out the best in others. The air that surrounds you is filled with love, possibilities, wonderment, peace, harmony and aa-haa! Moments. You allow people to see themselves from the inside out without judgment. People feel comfortable enough to speak what’s on their minds, knowing that the finger of judgment won’t be pointed in their faces. How do I put into words all the things that you do, that seem so effortless? Like second nature, maybe you were here before and this is second nature to you. It’s been over a week now, and it feels like trying to describe the moon. You know all the effects and power it has, but how do you summarize it? Amazing! Yeah that’s a start. Umm? How do I summarize you? I’m going to have to get back to you on that.

It gives me great pleasure to write these words on behalf of Reverend Laura Tria. As her student, under New Light Sanctuary, I feel qualified to speak on both her dedication to her students and her commitment to her teaching skills. As a Seminary Teacher, I am particularly impressed with her intellectual initiative and the tenacity with which she serves. My assessments of Reverend Laura’s abilities are confirmed by the other students. I’ve had occasion to hear about her work from other students, and all comment upon her excellent teaching skills. I know that Reverend Laura has a deep commitment to helping others negotiate personal challenges and a sincere dedication to fostering positive change. For these reasons, I feel confident in saying that her students will go on to be successful spiritual leaders, and this includes me as well.

~ Sincerely,  Reverend Elie Tramantozzi

Laura,

Mike and I wanted to thank you for being everything we could have ever imagined and more. Your words were as if you snuck into my heart and pulled out my beliefs. Our day was simply magical. It was a day that I will be sad to say will never be able to be justly put into words. You captured our spirits and took us on a private journey into our marriage. In fact- for any future events I would be honored to have you there— because you are one of the first people in a long time that GETS IT. That understands the beauty of simplicity and the connection to everything. That you and I and mike and the trees and the grass and the geese that were generous enough to attend our wedding are all the SAME. We are “god”. We are a part of something — all a part of something wonderful. We are not better or worse because WE are the “GREAT MYSTERY”. So we want to thank you for being in our lives and a part of our union. You are a blessing and we would be honored to keep you in our lives in one way or another. so… from the bottom of our hearts- THANK YOU FOR YOUR SPIRIT! With Love and Respect,

~ Jenny and Michael Pulisi!

The setting was by the Jamaica Bay in a small park under a charming gazebo. I heard the laughter of a small child playing in the background. Under the gazebo was a small table draped with a white cloth that gently danced in the warm summer air. There were two tall glasses one filled with yellow sand and the other with blue. A small broom was carefully placed on the table. This was the setting for the most important day of my life.

So with a small circle of family and friends, we shared our vows. I just wanted to thank you for being apart of this very special day. It was the most beautiful and intimate wedding I’ve ever been to and I am honored that it was ours

Hi Reverend Laura,

Our wedding day was just fabulous. Every time we look at our wedding pictures or watch our video, it brings us back to reality and remember the purpose of the day. Its just not about the beautiful dress or the spectacular party. Its about.. why we were there. We were there to be joined as one. The ceremony was truly special. I will never forget it and neither will the guests. Everyone still talks about the ceremony till this day.

You are a remarkable person and I am so happy that you were able to officiate our marriage. I couldn’t imagine any other person uniting us as husband and wife. Your compassion and guidance had helped Shev and myself through the road of our wedding day. Other brides and grooms would only be lucky to have you officiate their marriage…I must send you pictures of the day. Once again, thank you for all that you have done for Shev and myself.

~ Love, Gina

Laura! … We really thought you were the greatest. Countless people at the reception told us how much they loved our ceremony and how special it was. We are so happy with the way everything worked out. Thanks again for all your effort and energy. It was a truly perfect day. Keep in touch and take care!

~ Love, Les & Rob

Thank you again for helping to make our wedding day so beautiful. when we met with you for our first consultation, we both knew that we had found someone who would bring a personal, intimate feel to our ceremony. We think of you fondly whenever we think of that day and will always have you in our hearts. Much love Always…
